Effects of compositional variables on fouling behavior of thin stillage

چکیده

The presence of fouling in evaporators can increase energy consumption as well capital and labor costs. During corn ethanol production, occurs when thin stillage is concentrated multiple effect to form condensed distillers solubles. Limited studies have been conducted on processing. Process streams are biological origin variable compositions. objective this study was develop an improved understanding components that accelerate evaporators. An annular probe used evaluate compositional variables behavior dry grind stillage. Three experiments were performed with commercial processing streams. In the first experiment, effects carbohydrate materials evaporator investigated by adding starch sucrose. second samples treated wet cake. third experiment designed observe if age sample would affect fouling. results indicate resistances increased addition, cake at equal total solids contents. Insoluble addition had larger than soluble sucrose addition. Sucrose alone did not cause rapid
